A Beautiful Poem A Man Called Dog

A Man Called Dog

by nick sym

A Man Called Dog

There is a man, for whom I have gained respect,
for most he keeps the streets safe
Within a circle holding hands tightly,
his posse speaks the words of faith
Pictures on the wall of those who lost hope,
he prays for every one
Chasing those in the mysteries of the night,
or through the heat of the blazing sun
A family man so loving,
you can see it in his children's eyes
A sense of humour with Beth,
he can always get a rise
Meth, crack, ice, or H,
it's all garbage which leaves you in a fog
But be warned, one day, and I am certain,
you will have to face
The Dog

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico -- A Mexican judge has ruled to close the criminal case against bounty hunter and TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman, but state prosecutors have appealed the decision, officials said Thursday. In the July 27 ruling, Judge Jose Alberto Montes said the statute of limitations has expired on the case, said Guillermo Diaz, assistant prosecutor for the state of Jalisco, where Puerto Vallarta is located.

Chapman was arrested in September by U.S. authorities on a Mexican warrant stemming from his 2003 capture of fugitive convicted rapist and Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta.

Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico.State prosecutors, however, want to continue pursuing Mexico's request to have Chapman extradited, Diaz said.

The courts are expected to rule on prosecutors' appeal in coming months.Chapman stars in A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter," which is based in Hawaii. He expressed relief at Montes' decision.

"The weight has been lifted off my chest," he said. "Viva la Mexico!"___A&E is owned by A&E Television Networks, a joint venture of the Hearst Corp., ABC, Inc. and NBC Universal.___source: WashingtonPost.comhttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/02/AR2007080201481.html?nav=rss_artsandliving/entertainm entnews

Duane Dog Chapman is Now FREE!!!

TMZ has learned that all Mexican charges may have been dropped against famed bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman and two members of his team -- including his son. We're told these photos were taken moments after Dog learned his fate. Hallelujah!

The group had been charged by a Mexican court with deprivation of liberty, after their 2003 capture of convicted serial rapist Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta. Chapman had traveled to Mexico to retrieve the Max Factor cosmetics heir, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapman crew was jailed for a brief time after the incident as bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico. While TMZ could not immediately confirm the ruling (because nosotros hablamos espanol only a little), Dog's attorney told us he "has received a favorable ruling from the people in Puerto Vallarta. The extent of that ruling is unknown as we are still in the process of translating it."Dog, through his publicist, told TMZ, "Viva La Mexico!"
